What to expect from a ‘Strategy & Planning’ Product Plan

Procurement and Delivery Schedule

This will be the full plan, schedule, technical specification and costs for the final design, build, test and launch of the project and platform.

Technical Requirements and Integrations

Identification of the most suitable technology options, including requirements for integration with third party plugins for additional functionality. MFC will deliver a framework of the required resource to deliver the individual technical components of the project or platform design and build.

Sitemap and Functionality

This details each ‘page’ within a platform and the functionality that will exist. This enables MFC to begin visualising the platform, and to identify opportunities for streamlining the UX. Importantly it provides a definitive list of functionality that acts as acceptance test criteria for the technical build of the platform. With this in place, you can be certain of complete visibility on the full scope of work (SOW) for the platform, thus being assured the final delivery partner is fully aware of the full project resource and technical requirements.

UX/UI Requirements

Once the functionality and system architecture is established, MFC can identify the ‘creative’ elements of the UX. This is specifically in relation to the aesthetics of the functionality of the platform, and how a user flows from browsing through to sign-up, and monetisation.

Brand and Design Requirements

A full and complete brand design, and guidelines brief. This will inform the final estimated project build costs and schedule, ensuring total accuracy, and that the proposed solution is fit for purpose. This also influences where budget and resource will be allocated.

Strategy & Planning Process

Starting from information provided by the Digital Audit, MFC builds upon these initial recommendations to deliver a digital strategy or project plan. This provides a detailed strategy plan for the execution, and recommendations for the implementation of the suggested solutions. This could be in the form of a bespoke website with eCommerce, CRM deployment, marketing, brand or communication strategy, or competitor, or marketing analysis.
